What to expect.

How care works in this practice — visits, access, fees and how to get started.

Visits and access

  • A comprehensive initial evaluation — usually two sessions of 60 minutes.
  • Follow-up visits, scheduled according to your needs.
  • Direct access to me by phone and email, with replies within one business day.
  • Coordination with your therapist, primary-care physician and other specialists.
  • Prescription management and refills between visits.

Fees and insurance

I do not accept insurance. Superbills are provided for out-of-network reimbursement.

Under the federal No Surprises Act, self-pay patients receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before care begins.

Becoming a patient

The first step is a brief call — 15 minutes, at no charge, with me — to understand what you are looking for and confirm that the practice is the right fit. The practice is currently accepting new patients.

Telehealth

Visits are offered by video for patients located in California, or in person in Woodside.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Do I need a referral?

No. You may contact the practice directly. If you have a referring clinician, their records and observations are welcome and will be requested with your permission.

Do I need to know my diagnosis before I get in touch?

No. Many people come precisely because the diagnosis has never been clear, or because treatment has not worked and nobody has explained why. Working that out is what the evaluation is for.

Will you work with my current therapist?

Yes. When you already have a therapist you trust, the practice coordinates with them rather than replacing them.

Do you accept insurance?

No. I do not accept insurance. Superbills are provided for out-of-network reimbursement.
